BECOME YOUR DRUM!

We just recieved another great little piece on us, by the kind folks at Become Your Drum. Check out this excerpt:

"Since surprises aren't our strong suit, we begin with their dynamic melodies, lush reverb, and eclectic vocal style evoking a chilled out, nostalgic rock sound that, believe it or not, is created without a single guitar! So what's rock without the jamming guitars, you ask?"

This is a great website full of great pieces about a lot of bands we all should know about. Make sure to click on the link above and check the site out.

If you haven't already, make sure you head over to our gigs page and click the link for tickets tomorrow at the Knitting Factory. It's going to be an amazing show full in a great sounding room.

A Wonderful Review and Other News

We were just given a fantastic review by iPaul'smostplayed! How good? It starts off:

"If you’ve been jonesing some fresh indie rock then look no further because Isle of Rhodes is it. “All Rivers and Oceans” is an excellent & well structured debut that plays like a greatest hits set. "

Please check out the whole review by clicking on the link above. It's a real great site and has a wealth of information on artists you need to hear, and those you know already!

In other news: don't forget to rsvp for our big show at the Knitting Factory. By buying your tickets in advanced you can save four dollars. That's almost a pack of gum in New York money!

The Charleston - THIS THURSDAY!

We're going to be playing Williamsburg two times in the next three weeks. The first show will be this Thursday at the Charleston. If you haven't been there, it's a great little bar, that is fun as heck. Our next show will be at the famous Knitting Factory on the 25th of this month. Both shows will be completely worth your while as we are constantly adding new tunes, and new fun instruments to expand our sound. See you Thursday!

Princeton-Debasement

Tonight, Isle of Rhodes will be traveling down to Princeton to play at the Debasement. It is a private club for graduate students at Princeton University. If you aren't a grad student but would like to go, make sure to quickly make friends with a grad student there, and they can bring you in.

In other news, we have just scheduled a show at The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn. The show will be Friday the 25th of May. It's a great sounding club, with a great vibe, so be sure to mark that one in your calendars!

THIS FRIDAY (4/27)

As the title says, this friday, April 27th, we will be playing a show at Don Pedro in Bushwick. We will be playing with 4 other amazing bands, including our good friends Social Hero. The other bands include the incomparable Vinyette, and Mesh Lakhani. This should be a real fun night. For more info check out our gigs page, or the event's page on Facebook.
